It’s only fitting that atmos’ most revisited sneaker design theme is playing a role in the brand’s 25th anniversary lineup. For years – decades in fact – the Japanese streetwear label has brought glow-in-the-dark snakeskin to its various adidas collaborations; particularly the Superstar and ZX8000. Now in a significant milestone moment, the latter model is gearing up for its tenth “G-SNK” iteration.

Reprising a series that began in 2011, the latest “G-SNK” atmos x adidas ZX8000 features essentially the same colors as the OG. Only naturally, the placements are different this time around. The bulk of the sneaker appears in yellow, including the glow-in-the-dark snake leather around the toe, eyelets, and heel. Purple accents come into the fold on the laces, TPU eyelet portion, and quarter, while cyan blue paints the midsole and lining. Special 25th anniversary branding appears in gold on the inner tongue, while a custom, snake-inspired outsole adds another unique touch underfoot.

The atmos x adidas ZX8000 “G-SNK” releases exclusively through an atmos raffle on June 13th. Retail is set at JP¥18700, which translates to about $130. See official images below if you plan on going for a pair.
